Momentus Space Founder Mikhail Kokorich was Banned from Working with his Own Technologies in the USA

The founder of the space company Momentus Space, Mikhail Kokorich, lost the right to work with his own technologies, Quartz reports.

The US National Security Act prohibits access to advanced space technologies for "geopolitical rivals." The company, founded in 2017, is developing a logistics system for putting satellites into orbit. It was acquired by SPAC in October; as part of the merger, the company will go public. It is expected to go public on the NASDAQ in 2021. Kokorich is the author of most of the company's inventions, however now he does not have access to them, as well as to some of the Momentus Space equipment. Under US law, many parts of today's commercial satellites are considered dual-use technology, both civilian and military. Access to it is regulated.
