Erarta Museum presents exhibition “From Here to Eternity” of 3D artwork by Korean artist Hong Sungyeon, taking the viewer to the hidden core of the universe.
The Korean artist Hong Sungyeon began his career as a photographer, but his interest in the visual arts soon led him to study optics, computer design and various printing methods. The harmonious combination of artistic sensitivity and technical ingenuity brings his creativity closer to op-art, an optical art that originated in the 1960s in the United States.Using modern technology, Hong Sungyeon explores the nature of humans and our place in the macrocosm.
The artist leaves the viewer one-on-one with the naked emptiness of the world: his works are a portal that takes us to the hidden core of the universe. The author's three-dimensional compositions simultaneously refer to archaic artistic motives - circles, pictograms, geometric ornaments, and to digital photographs of distant galaxies captured with modern telescopes.
