Joe Biden's team is discussing possible response to the massive hacker attack.

      Reuters interlocutors said that after the inauguration, the administration of Mr. Biden would consider possible options for the  response. Among them - the imposition of tough economic sanctions or a cyber attack on Russian infrastructure. It is noted that the team is discussing the creation of means of deterring Russia's ability to "carry out cyber espionage in the future."

      At the same time, the team of the President-elect intends to "avoid escalating the conflict" between the countries.

      The media reported on the cyber attack on December 14. The hackers gained access to the systems of several ministries, the State Department, states and commercial companies. According to The Washington Post, hackers Cozy Bear (APT29) are behind the attack. The newspaper claims that this group works for Russian intelligence. The Kremlin has denied Moscow's involvement in the attacks.
