Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev said that the first batch of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine will be delivered to Belarus for a mass vaccination campaign in early 2021. He thanked the country for the permission to use the drug.

He noted that the sanitary doctors of Belarus appreciated "the effectiveness and success of the experimental cycle for testing the vaccine."

Vaccination with Sputnik V should begin in January. According to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the vaccination in Belarus will be voluntary. It is planned to use five to six vaccines from different manufacturers.
