Music Festival "New Year at the Conservatory" in Moscow

From December 26 to January 13, the best Russian musicians are performing a festive New Year's program in the Rachmaninoff Hall and the Myaskovsky Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

      The festival features the Academy of Russian Music Chamber Orchestra, Quattro Elementi Orchestra, Aurum Saxophone Orchestra, Syrinx Flute Quartet, Youth Chamber Choir and soloists. The gala marathon will be opened by Mira Orchestra, an orchestra created by students of the Moscow Conservatory under the direction of Ilya Markeev.

      The program of the show includes compositions by Strauss, Dvorak, Kalman, Sarasate, Piazzolla, 
Tchaikovsky, Dunaevsky and Shchedrin. The festival will end with the performance of the ensemble "Studio of New Music". The musicians will perform well-known and rarely heard plays of the XX-XXI centuries.
