A Russian expedition under the leadership of Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy Yuriy Zakharov has discovered the exact location of Shambala, the mysterious capital of the far-back state of Shangshung. As Professor Zakharov said, it was a unique expedition; “nothing of the kind has ever happened before”.
      
       Shambala was a grandeval religious and philosophic center, bordering on Persia and Tadzhikistan. It had the so called “inner”, “secret” part in a hidden place in the heart of Kailash mount and lake Manosarovar. Kailash mount, 6714 meters high, is regarded as sacred in four religions, such as Bon, Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
      As previously thought, Shambala was just a esoteric motion. However the discovery made by Russian scientists, has proved the existence of a real geographic place of Shambala. The expedition under the leadership of Professor Zakharov examined the “secret” center of Shambala. The expedition reached the height of 6200 – 6300 meters on the South-Eastern slope of Kailash mount. Further climbing was impossible because of bad weather and lack of special equipment.
      “We reached as far as it was possible, - said Professor Zakharov, - and at that height we planted down the flag of Russia. The leader of the expedition concluded, that the expedition did not aim to demystify Shambala. “Our main goal was to prove that Shambala is quite a scientific notion.”
