Russian Surgeons Performed Unique Trachea Transplantation

Surgeons from Russian science surgery centre have performed first ever trachea transplantation with conservation of blood supply on the patient, whose trachea was destructed.
      The surgeon, who headed the operation, said that the transplantation has been a breakthrough in this medical field. The operation owes its success to crucially new process solutions, developed by the centres experts.
      For recovering patients blood supply medics used microsurgery on the smallest blood vessels of the transplanted organ. Now the patient is able to breathe himself.
