A Monument to Poet Osip Mandelstam to be Set Up in Moscow

A monument to poet Osip Mandelstam will be set up in the centre of Moscow, at the intersection of Zabelina Street and Starosadsky Lane, by the house where the poet's brother lived.
      
      The design of the monument will be selected in the course of a special competition. Sculptors Leonid Baranov, Andrei Krasulin, Dmitry Tugarinov, Lazar Gadayev, Alexander Tarasenko and Dmitry Shakhovsky have been invited to participate in the competition.
      
      All comers will have an opportunity to see the projects proposed for the monument at the exhibition to be held in Moscow House of Sculptor from 16 to 24 January.
      
      The best project of the competition will be announced on January 25, 2007.
