The exhibition entitled "The Creator of Sincerity, Thoughtfulness and Sombre Beauty. Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906): Norwegian Poet and Playwright" embraces all the periods of life and creation of the literature classic of the 19th - 20th centuries. It is timed to the 100th anniversary since the death of the great master, whose creation has been quite popular in Russia. The exhibition runs in the new building of the Russian National Library, St. Petersburg.
      
      The exposition presents works created by Ibsen in the 19th-20th cc in Russia and other countries. The history of Russian stage productions of Ibsen's plays makes up an important part of the exposition.
      
      The exhibition is held in the framework of the Year of Ibsen proclaimed in Norway in 2006.
