Exhibition of ice figures opening in Yekaterinburg

The central square of Yekaterinburg has turned into a real ice eastern kingdom with camels, beauties, and palaces. Today evening, December 29, the exhibition of ice sculptures will open, but now the artists and sculptors are finishing their last preparations. Tens of professional sculptors from all over Russia came to the Urals to participate in the ice project. Many of them notice that working with ice is more pleasant than working with gypsum or any other firm materials.
In the art of the project there are no strict rules and prescriptions. Every master is free to use their own approach to work. For instance, the sculptors from the city of Kazan managed to combine ice and flame in their works. They polish their ice creatures with hot irons.
