The All-Russian Exhibition “Young Artists of Russia” to open in the Central House of Artist on February 6 will include works by Chukchi artists, taking part in the event for the first time.
The exhibition committee has chosen 18 works of decorative and applied arts, created by graduates of the Chukot Multidiscipline College. The exhibits include mosaics and applique' works, beadworks, reindeer wool embroidering, works from shammy, furs of seals, wolves and dogs, carvings and engravings on walrus tusks, and miniature sculpture from whale bone.
The exhibition runs till February 25.
