Festival of Naïve and Outsiders Art
15.11.2004 00:00

The Museum of Naïve Art jointly with the Museum of Outsiders Art present Festnaive-2004, the first in Russia international festival of naïve and outsiders art. The festival exhibition opens on November 15, 2004 in the All-Russia State Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts, Moscow.
The idea of the festival emerged years ago, not without reason. Let us remind you, that Russian section was among the biggest ones in the World encyclopedia of naïve art published in Belgrade in 1984.
Festnaive-2004 presents the best art works of Russian outsiders who have got acclaim in various countries thanks to the Museum of Outsiders Art. However in Russia such kind of visual art backed up by selfless work of enthusiasts is a novelty for the general public.
