Former Soviet Dissident Vladimir Bukovsky Agreed to Go to the Polls as Presidential Contender

The initiative group has proposed known Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky as presidential contender from the Russian opposition. Former political prisoner Vladimir Bukovsky was exiled from the USSR in 1976. More than 30 years Bukovsky has been living in Great Britain, but he is still a Russian citizen.
By the way, after the breakdown of the Warsaw pact in East Europe the former dissidents became presidents: Lech Walesa in Poland, Vaclav Havel in Czech Republic, actual president of Serbia Boris Tadic was a dissident in the past.
Meanwhile, according to the Constitution of the RF, a Russian citizen who has been living in the RF not less than 10 years may be elected as president.
