The Agency of Tourism of Yamal is developing special routes for tourists willing to observe the eclipse of the Sun which is expected to take place 1 August 2008. As the Agency has reported, in Nadym, where the Moon will throw a shadow on the Sun during 2 minutes and 27 seconds, there will be created an observation site and a small camping town equipped in accordance with all safety, sanitary, and health norms. All tourists will be able to find a comfortable place and observe the natural phenomenon.
      Apart from the observation site, there will also be organized tourist expeditions and mini-tours for getting acquainted with the cultural, economic, and industrial potential of the region.
