Are men better drivers than women?
"Monkey with a bomb"?

Some men are sure that being at the wheel is their prerogative but not women’s. There are also those who claim that only a man can drive safely. At the same time half of all attendants at driving schools are women.

Are men better drivers than women? The majority of Russian road inspectors mark that the way women drive a car indeed differs from that of men’s. The statistics shows that women have a greater number of small car accidents but a less number of serious crashes. Besides, they have a considerably less number of car accidents caused by alcohol intoxication.

Despite these facts a superstition of the 20th century still suggests that seeing a female driver on the road is a crash token. In reality the things are much simpler: women do not drive a car worse than men; they just do it differently and have a specific driving style: more careful and self-collected.

A recent tendency shows that nowadays women start to oppress men in the automobile sphere, like in business. They also want to have a powerful car and be dictators on the road. Today one can hardly be surprised by a woman – bus or taxi driver.
