Vietnam signed Russia’s bid for WTO

Today Russia and Vietnam have signed a bilateral agreement concluding negotiations on the WTO. The document liberalizes fish, seafood, spices, silk and shoes supplies from Vietnam into Russia.

Actually, the two countries round off talks 26 June, the same day Russia and Guatemala signed a similar bilateral agreement. The talks with Vietnam have been held since spring 2007, as the country joined the World Trade Organization in December 2007.

To become a WTO member Russia has to reach agreements with Cambodia, Georgia and Saudi Arabia.
