United Measures against Ecological Catastrophe

Russia is ready to help Ukraine to disposal 400 tons of yellow phosphorus. As soon as Russia gets a request from Ukraine, it will send Russian chemists and other experts to Lvov. The News Agency Itar-Tass reports that Russian citizens havent harmed within the territory of phosphorus contamination.
      
      Euripean Union has offered Ukraine its assistance in carrying out ecological expertise as well. EU can also supply planes, field hospitals and fire-fighting equipment.
      
      The catastrophe in Lvov can course ecological damage to Ukraine, Poland and Romania and other countries. The phosphorus cloud can be carried by wind to any direction. Thats why not only Ukraine but also Russia and EU consider its urgent to take control over situation.
      
      The train, travelling from Kazakhstan to Poland, left the tracks in western Ukraine at 4.55 p.m. local time on Monday, derailing 15 rail tanks of phosphorus.
      Six rail tanks caught fire, spewing toxic smoke over an area of about 90 square km, where about 11,000 people live, emergency officials said. They said 13 people were taken to hospital suffering from poisoning.
      
      Yellow phosphorus is a waxy solid which is stored under liquid because it ignites on contact with oxygen. Phosphorus compounds can be extremely toxic.
