The Russian Bank for Development (RBD) has started production of co-branding Visa payment cards together with the air company Transaero Airlines. This means that Visa Classic and Visa Gold cards` holders will get bonus points for flying with Transaero Airlines and also for using the cards as currency.
      Cards can be issued in EUR, US Dollars, or in Roubles and let their owner become a member of “Transaero Privilege” programme giving extra points to those travelling with regular and charter (after scoring 1000 points) flights of Transaero Airlines.
      In the framework of the joint programme it is planned to emit over 8 thousand payment cards by the end of 2007.
      Note: Transaero is the first private airline in Russia. Its first flight took place on November 5, 1991. Since then Transaero: has made over 100 thousand flights to 145 destination in 56 countries of the world, carried over 10 million passengers, mastered ten types of aircraft.
