Vyacheslav Zharko, a Russian citizen who got recruited by British security service MI6, had recognized Pablo Miller as his recruiter.
The Federal Security Service on Wednesday said a Briton previously alleged to have recruited Russians as spies was involved in recruiting Vyacheslav Zharko, whose case is the latest espionage dispute between Russia and the UK.
According to Mr. Zharko, when he was an agent of MI6 he was tutored by an individual named Paul. Then it turned out that the same Paul was also known as certain Antonio Alvares de Idalgo, a British undercover agent who got failed.
Miller allegedly was involved in the case of Defense Ministry Colonel Sergei Skripal, who last year was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for spying for Britain.
In June Mr. Zharko announced that he had been recruited by MI6. Mr. Zharko has claimed that Litvinenko introduced him to British secret agents in London. In comments broadcast on television in June, he said he was paid initially up to ?2,000 (US$2,700) a month to gather information on the Russian economy.
