Moscow Kicks Guest Workers Out of the City

Two weeks prior to celebration of Moscows 860th anniversary the Moscow authorities promised to deport all illegal guest workers. The first victims of the sweeps were 200 illegal migrants that were detained by the officers of the Federal Migration Service in the very centre of the city.
However, there is an opinion that it is impossible to get rid of all guest workers within two weeks as 30% of all migration traffic of the country falls at Moscow. The Migration Service is not going to give up during the nearest 4-5 days it is planned to check all suspicious buildings, house basements, and attics in the city.
Something similar took place prior to the Olympics 80, when the Moscow authorities were getting rid of not only alcoholics and unemployed but prostitutes and hippies also.
