On September 4, Tuesday, a plane of the Russian air company Transaero could not leave Tel-Aviv. The cause of the flight’s delay was one of the plane`s wings that was damaged by the staff of Ben Gurion Airport. Boeing-737 carrying out a flight Tel-Aviv-Moscow was scheduled to leave the airport at around 5pm Moscow time. However, an autoloader belonging to the airport hit one of the plane`s wings and caused a serious scratch and a deep 30-centimetre dent on the edge line of the wing.
The Israeli airport estimated that it would take 10 hours to repair the damaged wing. All 101 passengers of the plane were accommodated in a Tel-Aviv hotel and provided with hot meals.
According to Transaero director-general, no fault of the air company took place in the accident; therefore, it must be Ben Gurion Airport to compensate all financial losses.
It is needed to mark that the Israeli Hebrew-speaking media did not report about the accident.
