President Putin and Anna Politkovskaya in German Theatre

October 7 will see the premiere of the play production under the title Putins Birthday Evening for Anna Politkovskaya in Hans Otto Theater, Potsdam, the companys official site informs.
      
      The play has been written and staged by Petra Luisa Meyer. The role of Anna Politkovskaya is played by Rita Feldmeier, while Vladimir Putin is played by Andreas Herrmann and Gerhard Shroeder by Roland Kuchenbuch.
      
      The play has other characters as well: they are granny Sveta and mother Salina from Beslan, a Russian soldier and a journalist.
      
      According to the head of the theatres literary section, the play is quite shocking and cruel. In the story, Mr. Shroeder invites President Putin to celebrate the latter's birthday, whereas Anna Politkovskaya as an angel takes part in their conversation.
      
      The premiere of Putins Birthday - Evening for Anna Politkovskaya was specially appointed on October 7, the date being the birthday of Vladimir Putin and at the same time the day when Anna Politkovskaya was shot dead in 2006.
