Christie's at Newly Restored Pashkov House

October 1 will see the opening of one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of Moscow, the illustrious Pashkov House that has been under restoration for 19 years.

The historic building of the Russian State Library was closed for repair because of its breakdown state in 1988. Pashkov House is named after its first owner Petr Yegorovich Pashkov, the lieutenant commander of the Life Guards of Semenovsky Regiment and the son of Peter the Great’s batman.

It has been reported that from 18th to 20th October the Christie's auction house will be holding an exhibition of outstanding painting and jewelry art masters’ works, which are to be put up to its auctions this autumn.
