The Russian air company S7 Airlines has received an official letter from International Air Transport Organization (IATA) notifying that the air company successfully passed the procedure of the International Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and was registered as an IOSA operator.
The safety audit was a fundamental assessment of the airline’s safety and included examination of such characteristics as organization of flights management, control over flying activity and the cabin crew work, complex of ground technical-engineering maintenance, cargo works, and aviation safety.
Becoming an IOSA operator means recognition of the airline by the world community as a safe air carrier meeting all the toughest international safety demands. In this way, S7 has become the 2nd Russian airline certified by IATA (the 1st one was Aeroflot). At the moment amongst the IOSA accredited airlines are Lufthansa, Air China, Delta, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Thai Airways, and some other.
