Romanovs Castle in Lipetsk Region to be Renovated

The old castle in Borki Settlement of the Lipetsk Region which used to belong to Prince Andrei Vladimirovich Romanov, a cousin of Nicolas II, is planned to be renewed.
      
      Selkhozinvest Company, the owner of the estate is going to invest about 100 million rubles into the project.
      
      The palace complex became the region’s first historical object purchased as property. The renovation works are planned to be completed by the end of 2010.
      
      The style of the estate’s central palace reminds of West European medieval castles. Around the estate there is a landscape park partly extant. The name of the architect remains unknown, yet it is reputed he was Italian.
