Close-Up of Swedish Cinema in Saint Petersburg

Swedish Film Festival has started today with the Saint Petersburg premiere of the feature film To Love Someone directed by Ake Sandgren.

The picture released in September has already been distinguished with awards for the best script and the best female role at the festival in Copenhagen. The film director has come to Saint Petersburg to see how his work will be percieved here.

The festival promises meetings with Swedish film makers and starring actors, such as, for example, Lia Boysen and Lisa Werlinder.

Among the highlights of the festival there is the psychological tragicomedy You, the Living by Roy Andersson, one of the foremost Swedish film directors.

All the film shows will include short-length films also.
