Gasunie became the fourth party in Nord Stream project

N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie and Gazprom have signed an agreement making Gasunie the fourth party in the Nord Stream Project, which will be laid on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
Nord Stream, also known as the North European gas pipeline, is a joint project of Gazprom having the control stake of 51% and German BASF and E.ON, which own 24.5% of shares each. In keeping with the deal, Gazprom will receive 9% of shares of Balgzand Bacton Line between the Netherlands and the UK. Gasunie in its turn will obtain control over 9% of Nord Streams stock at the expense of proportional cut of BASF and E.ONs shares from 24.5 to 20%.
