Number of Hotels in Moscow to Double by 2010

By 2010 the number of hotels in the Russian capital must double, according to the head of department for coordination of hotel enterprises` work of the Committee for External Economical Activity of Moscow Olga Mantseva. According to her words, at the moment 203 hotels able to house 73 thousand guests operate in Moscow.
      
      “It is planned that by 2010 the number of Moscow hotels will reach 554. At that the majority of them will be built outside the historical centre of Moscow. Now 6 hotels with a higher comfort level operate in this area. In the nearest years their number will increase by 20 with the total number of beds – 8.5 thousand”, as Olga Mantseva informs.
