Ilya Muromets and Solovei Razboinik - the final part of the animation trilogy about Russian epic heroes, which is also referred to as the Russian Shrek goes on general release on December 28.
The first film of the project Alyosha Popovich and Tugarin Zmey (2004) became the pioneer of full-length animation in Russia and gathered 1.7 million dollars. Two years later the second film, Dobrynya Nikitich and Zmey Gorynych was released.
Ilya Muromets and Solovei Razboinik to be released on the threshold of the New Year, will become the last part of the project, its producer and scriptwriter Aleksandr Boyarskiy says, though its creators also think of making an animated cartoon series featuring all the three epic heroes together.
