Archeological rarities from Veliki Novgorod on show in Hamburg

An exhibition of archeological rarities from the collections of the Novgorod State Museum-Reserve is on in Hamburg, in Bukerius Kunst Forum, one of the best exposition halls of Germany.
      
       The 212 exhibits present archeological evidence of the 11-17th centuries, found by archeologists in the Novgorod region, as well as Old Russian jewelry, coins and seals, including the seal of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky. The visitors will also see maquettes of Novgorod Orthodox churches and photos of art monuments of the old Russian city.
      
       The exhibition will be on for several months in Hamburg.
