Borodino Field Finds Displayed in Moscow

On December 20 the History Museum (Moscow) will see the opening of the exhibition of finds discovered at Borodino Field, the site where the decisive Battle of Borodino against Napoleonic invaders took place on September 7, 1812.
      
      In 2004-2007 complex archaeological works were carried out on the territory of Borodino Field in search of relics related to the great battle, aiming to find out the march of events and geographic details of the battle. The diggings have resulted in the collection consisting of more than 5000 material culture pieces associated with the outfits of the two armies.
      
      An electronic presentation of the archaeological diggings at Borodino Field including the unique results of diggings of Raevskys battery will take place in the framework of the exhibition, museum.ru informs.
      
      The exhibition will run till January 14, 2008.
