Strabag and Siemens to build Olympic facilities in Sochi

Strabag, the European Construction Company, and Siemens AG have set up a joint venture to implement projects for the Olympics 2014 in Sochi.
      
      The joint venture is likely to participate in construction of railroads, a cement factory (conjointly with Russian Basel-cement). Besides the company will expand the international airport in Adler and take up construction of electric power stations and a sea port.
      
      Strabag is one of the largest European construction companies employing 60 thousand people. The biggest shareholding of the company, 25%, belongs to Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska.
