Coca-Cola removes insulting adverts in Nizhny Novgorod

Coca-Cola has determined to remove the refrigerators bearing its adverts after a group of Orthodox believers accused the company of the violation of national traditions. The company used the image of Orthodox churches in the adverts.

In the middle of December the outraged believers sent letters to the local Prosecutors Office, the governor and the head of the eparchy asking them to take measures.

Later the representative of the company announced the intention of Coca-Cola to remove or replace the adverts depicting Orthodox churches of Nizhny Novgorod.
