Dolphin to be the Sochi Olympics 2014 symbol

Yesterday the Sochi citizens have chosen a dolphin to be the Sochi Olympics 2014 symbol.

The voting for the Olympics symbol was held at all ballot stations in Sochi. All 270 thousand electors had to choose between four symbols, Father Frost, a Snowflake on the skis, a dolphin and a white Bear. Most of the Sochi-dwellers voted for the symbol of the Black Sea, i.e. a dolphin.

Sochi got the right to host the Winter Olympics 2014 in July 2007.
