Yesterday one of the most popular St. Petersburg aqua parks closed an hour earlier than usual due to the visitors started to apply for medical help complaining about sickness and smarting eyes. Supposedly, the incident was caused by excessive amounts of chlorine in the water. On the whole over 70 people were poisoned, including 25 children who were hospitalized. Now medics describe their condition as “moderate” and “satisfactory”. According to some specialists, the chlorine level in water was so high, that the children were at risk of losing their sight.
