India and Russia – Together to Space
“OceanSat-2” satellite

Two countries plan to create a special work team in order to develop cooperation in space.
      
      The team will include four members from each country. Indian Space Research Organization came up with a suggestion on joint modernization of “Soyuz” spaceship. Moreover, second Indian cosmonaut will be trained and sent to the orbit by joint efforts of two countries.
      
      India and Russia fruitfully cooperate in satellite launching: “Coronas-Photon” is scheduled for launch this summer. Another satellite, “YouthSat”, a product of Russian and Indian students, is expected to be launched till end of 2008.
      
      India promises to help Russia with GLONASS satellite group and participate in Moon exploration.
