Gerard Bouman

According to the AIVD, the Netherlands secret service, Russian and Chinese espionage poses the major threat to the countrys interests. AIVD head Gerard Bouman marked these states to hold the most intense spy activity in the Netherlands.
As the AIVD annual report says, the RF has been trying to gather secret information on the Dutch energy sector. Mr. Bouman also marked that in 2007 the AIVD moved a number of intelligence officers from more than one service to return to their country of origin."
In September 2007 director of National Intelligence of the USA Mike McConnell claimed that the level of activity of the RF and China secret services against the States was close to that of Cold War. At the end of the last year the British special services also claimed Russia and China secret services to be main enemy.
