Extreme Sport Expedition Started

Unique sport expedition started from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky last Sunday.
      
      Expedition crew will travel to Severo-Kurilsk on the sail catamaran. First time in Russian history First Kuril strait, 12.4 km in width, will be crossed on sea kayak.
      
      From Severo-Kurilsk the expedition will head to the highest point of the Kuril Chain, Alaid volcano (2339), located on the Atlasov Island, and climb it. Total length of the expedition is about 850 km, expected duration 25 days. The mission of the trip is finding territories, attractive for extreme tourists, and developing new travel routes.
