The first electro buses – a hybrid of the bus and tram – are to start routing around Moscow in 2008. The new urban means of transport will be equipped with a powerful accumulator and will have 30 seats.
      
      Within the nearest 1.5 year the electro buses are to be used in an experimental mode; when the trial period is over, the Moscow authorities will decide whether to launch mass exploitation of this kind of transport or not.
      
      The two main minuses of the hybrid usage are the poorly developed chain of petrol stations and non-impressing dynamics and speed characteristics.
