Russia and Azerbaijan have signed Friendship and Strategic Partnership Declaration during the Russian – Azerbaijani presidents meeting in Baku.
      
      Russian president is paying a two day official visit to Azerbaijan on July 3-4. As a result of his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the two sides have signed Friendship and Strategic Partnership Declaration. The Foreign ministries of the two countries have agreed upon archive issue, the Custom Services have agreed upon struggle against custom violations.
      
      Azerbaijan is a strategic partner for Russia in the South Caucasus and in Caspian aria for a long- term period. The signed contracts show the dynamic development of Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue. The trade turnover between the two countries is growing and it has already reached $2bln.
