The 5th International Jazz Festival Petrojazz - 2008 opens today in Saint Petersburg.
      
      For the first time in the history of this festival there will be three stages mounted on the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. During the two days of the festival musicians from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Holland, Filand and the USA will be performing on these stages. Among the most renowned participants of the festival there are Alex Sipyagin, Olivier Ker Ourio, Tsiganov Brothers, and Alex Tuomarila.
      
      All the wide range of jazz music will be represented at the festival: from Latin American jazz with drums (Sambateria project) to improvisations on Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker (Chizhik Band).
