Bolshaya Kommunistichenskaya Street located in the city centre near Taganka will be now renamed after Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
On one of the houses there a memorial plate will be also mounted.
The great Russian writer Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn died of a heart failure, aged 89, on August 3 and was laid to rest at Donskoe Cemetery in Moscow.
On August 6 the Russian President signed the order On perpetuating the memory of A. Solzhenitsyn recommending to name one of the Moscow streets after the famous author.
