The Gary Tatintsian Gallery in Moscow welcomes to the first personal exhibition of the well-known American artist Tony Matelli in Russia.
The visitors will see a broad range of techniques and genres in which the artist works. These are hyperrealistic sculptures made of silicon, gums and human hair; bronze sculptures imitating objects that least of all fit to be reproduced in this traditional method; and skillful collages based on the artist’s self-portraits made as a puzzle of vegetables, fruits, and meat products, a-la the Italian Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
The exhibition runs till November 15.
Address of Gary Tatintsian Gallery: 3/8 bldg 5, Ilyinka Street, Kitai Gorod metro station.
Open Monday to Friday 11 am to 7 pm, Saturday 12 am to 7 pm, admission free.
