International space station

Next expedition to the ISS plans to perform over 50 scientific experiments within six months of their orbiting.
      
      Eighteenth expedition to the International space station heads for their space shelter on October 12. Scientific mission of the cosmonauts includes over 50 Russian scientific experiments and several joint projects of Russia and Europe.
      
      Research plan consists of studies in biotechnology, biophysics, ecology and some other fields of knowledge. Sixth space tourist Richard Garriott, who intends to travel to the ISS with the expedition, has his own scientific programme.
