Russian Mission in the Artic Finished
“Akademik Fedorov”

Today “Akademik Fedorov” research vehicle brought Russian polar explorers back to Arkhangelsk after getting over 13 thousand kilometers in icy waters.

Expedition members say they’ve done a lot, for instance, established new drifting station “Severniy Polus 36” (North Pole 36), conducted unique scientific experiment and gathered important information about climate change and state of ice.

All collected data are now subject for studying and analysis, while “Akademik Fedorov” get ready for a new polar voyage – November 10 is the day when the vessel heads for another polar trip, but now to the shores of the Antarctic.
