Chelyabinsk Railroad Workers Turn Archeologists

Dismantling of the old railroad in a city park of Chelyabinsk resulted in a historical sensation. The workers found rails made as far back as the century before last.
Railroad builders did not expect such a turn. They just dismantled some metal scrap, which turned to be a historic monument. Trains used to run on the discovered rails and ties in the pre-revolutionary epoch already.
By spring there will be no pre-revolutionary rails left in the park: the valuable exhibits will be put into a museum, while the remaining stuff will be discarded.
The modern vehicles consisting of a diesel locomotive and three carriages will run on the new railroad starting from May.
