Ancient Ship May Clog Gas Pipeline
The tjalk

While constructing a Nord Stream pipeline, which will bring Russian gas to Northern Europe, Russian engineers came across an ancient Russian wooden vessel in the Baltic sea.
The ship, which belongs to the tjalk type and is about 17 meters long, is seriously damaged by water and time. However, its freight and utensils remained almost intact.
The ship may become a serious trouble for pipeline construction, and engineers have strong intentions to remove the archeological treasure from their way. They have already developed evacuation plan, which wont damage the ship.
Ship remains are a shipbuilding monument of the times, when Russian Navy had been established.
