Better is late than never: the bridge across Volga in Ulyanovsk finally completed

The bridge across Volga has been built for more than 20 years is finally completed. Its last span was set up a day before yesterday, it hasnt been put in commission. Some tests of it are expected after the building of runways to the bridge. All works are expected to be finished till the end of 2009.The traffic capacity of the bridge is supposed to be 30,000 cars daily.
The process of building became considerably faster and cheaper because of introduction of advanced technology, which makes possible transporting spans by water with installing them into construction lifting them directly from water.
