Gas explosion in Moscow left the salute behind

On the night 9th/10th a gas explosion happened on the south-west of Moscow near Ozernaya Street and Michurinsky Avenue. On the May, 9th Russia celebrated the anniversary of the victory over the fascism. As usually the event was accompanied by salute in celebration of it. About midnight the fire more bright than all the fireworks flared up on the south-west of the city. It was the explosion on the gas-main.
      A column of flame was to observe within a radius of several miles. Although nobody died, the consequences of emergency are supposed to be liquidated by the May, 12th. Among them are destroyed asphalt coat of Michurinsky Avenue in the area of emergency, about 100 private cars and all the lack of Telephone Communications and Internet in neighboring city districts Solntsevo and Novo-Peredelkino. It is supposed that the cause of the explosion is decay of the pipes which were laid in 1976.
