Gas pipeline from Caspian Region to Europe round Russia is still in plans.

On 8 of May European Union made a new step to the independence from gas pipelines on Russian territory. A summit in Prague signs the declaration that deals with the project of building gas pipeline Nabucco. This gas pipeline will go roundabout Russia and provide gas from Caspian Region to Europe. This project started after the winter delay of gas because of gas conflict between Moscow and Kiev. The statement of Gazprom Company that Europe would get stable gas did not come true. Now Europe tries to get reliable gas omitting Russia and USA support this project. But Middle Asian countries refused to take part in a project, from example Turkmenistan refused to situate gas pipeline on its territory. The discussion is still opened.
